Conspiracy theories have always ignited the imagination of people all around the world who were intrigued by the possibility of discovering a different reality from what we have been brought to believe it's true. Whether we agree with these theories or not, it's interesting to consider them.

The desire to to find the real motivations behind certain events or to discover an alternate truth from what we all accept as being true is a natural one considering the multitude of conflicting interests of today's society. There are a variety of different conspiracy theories on a different subjects with varying degrees of relevance. While some of them might make us think about the relevance and applicability of those theories, others are considered so weird it's almost funny. Here are a few relatively popular conspiracy theories:

KFC

Many people still see racism as a constant threat despite of the fact that on the surface at least, this preconceptions seem to have vanished for the most part. However there are some people who think that racism is still very much alive, although the forms of expression have changed. Some of those who believe this idea to be true have also come up with a theory that claims KFC is secretly trying to undermine the health of black people by lacing a drug on the food that causes impotence.

The controversy might have started due to the fact that the majority of the staff is white. These claims have never been proven despite the numerous tests that were made. What's more,the owner of KFC is African American, a fact that makes the whole story ironical and extremely hard to believe.

9 11 Conspiracy

Another popular conspiracy theory is related what happened on 11th September 2001. There are many voices that claim that the story behind this tragic event was orchestrated carefully by other powers with a more obscure motivation. Many people think that the brain behind the operation is actually the American government. The motivation behind the attack, claim those who support this theory is military support for the war in Afghanistan.

Supporters of the theory claim that a controlled demolition took place and even go as far as claiming that the plains were remotely controlled and that there were no steel building that collapsed as a result of fire before. However, experts disagree with the theory stating the fact that all Boeing planes had systems that could only be controlled by humans and that deliberate modifications the structure of the towers could not have gone unnoticed.

Tsunami conspiracy

Even natural disasters are not what they used to be. While man made events can be naturally subjected to controversy due to the variety of interests attributing natural disasters to certain nations is a relatively new trend. Now some voices claim that the horrible disaster that took the life of more than 150 000 people, was actually either a man made catastrophe or an act of kindness from extraterrestrial life forms. While it might seem hard to conceive such a thing and there are no evidences whatsoever, some people think that aliens where the ones that caused the catastrophe by trying to fix the rotation of the Earth. Other theories claim that India and USA were testing electromagnetic weapons and those were the ones that caused an earthquake. While this theory are highly imaginative there's no actual proof that would support any of these theories.
